The Dhaka University Research Society (DURS) has opened abstract submissions for the 2nd International Student Research Conference (ISRC) 2026, scheduled for 28 December at the Senate Building of the University of Dhaka.

Organised by DURS in association with the Office of International Affairs at the University of Dhaka, the conference is being held as part of DURS’s 10th anniversary celebrations. The deadline for abstract submissions is 5 October.

The conference aims to bring together students, young researchers, academics, faculty members and professionals from Bangladesh and abroad to present research, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for academic collaboration.

More than 700 researchers, academics and young participants from over 100 universities in Bangladesh and more than 30 countries are expected to attend the conference.

Research tracks

ISRC 2026 will feature five research tracks:

• Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
• Health, Life Sciences, Environment, Sustainability and Humanities
• Engineering, Architecture and Applied Physical Sciences
• Human Mind, Behaviour, Society and Art-Culture
• Business, Law, Education and Global Affairs

Participants can present their research through oral and poster presentations. The conference will also be open to general participants and listeners interested in attending sessions, engaging in academic discussions and connecting with researchers from different countries and institutions.

The event will provide young researchers with an opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas with academics and professionals, and explore potential research collaborations.

The conference will be presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka. The Minister of Education has confirmed his participation as the chief guest, while the Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is expected to join as the keynote speaker.

The conference will also feature academic leaders, including the vice chancellors of North South University and BRAC University, alongside researchers and scientists from Bangladesh and abroad.

DURS has invited students, young researchers, academics, professionals and research enthusiasts from Bangladesh and abroad to submit their abstracts or register as general participants for ISRC 2026.
