American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) was named one of the top five winners of the University Innovation Exhibition Award at the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026.

Organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology under the theme “Innovate to Market”, the three-day exhibition was held at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre in Dhaka from 12 to 14 September.

The event brought together universities, researchers, innovators, industrial leaders, investors, policymakers, educators, and students to foster entrepreneurship and turn technological ideas into market-ready applications.

Of more than 70 public and private universities across Bangladesh, only five institutions were selected for the University Innovation Exhibition Award.

During the fair, the AIUB pavilion drew attention from researchers, industry delegates, and high-level dignitaries. Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology Faqir Mahbub Anam, along with Secretary to the Ministry of Science and Technology Md Anwar Hossain, visited the university’s pavilion to inspect the technological projects and practical solutions on display.

AIUB appreciated the contributions of its students, faculty members, researchers, and project teams, while acknowledging the role of university management in driving academic research and technological excellence.
