Bizzmakr hosts campus activation programme at JUST to bridge skills and employability gap
Bizzmakr, a growing freelancer-powered business solutions platform, successfully organised its latest Campus Activation Programme at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) on 14–15 June, with the aim of helping students identify, develop, and apply practical skills for real-world opportunities.
Built on a freelancer-driven model where contributors work as independent professionals and are matched with businesses through swipe-based mechanics, Bizzmakr focuses on bridging the gap between academic learning and employability. Through its campus activation initiative, the platform seeks to equip students with market-relevant skills, practical insights, and clearer career pathways.
The two-day programme was held in a large tent set up on the JUST campus premises and remained open to students, faculty members, and staff. Sessions ran from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on both days and attracted more than a thousand participants from across the university community.
A key highlight of the programme was an interactive session titled “Passion to Possibility,” conducted by Bizzmakr Founder A S M Rafiul Haque on 15 June at the JUST auditorium. He spoke about the current freelancing landscape, emerging opportunities in the digital economy, and ways students can transform their skills and interests into sustainable professional careers.
The session also included an interactive activity designed to help participants identify freelancing and professional pathways aligned with their strengths and interests. Students were further introduced to the Bizzmakr platform through a live demonstration, showcasing how it connects talent with real-world opportunities.
Speaking at the event, the founder said young people often spend years learning but struggle to find opportunities to apply their knowledge. He emphasised that the goal of the initiative is to help students discover their potential, develop relevant skills, and prepare for the realities of the modern workforce through practical exposure.
The JUST programme marks the latest in Bizzmakr’s ongoing youth engagement efforts. The platform previously participated in the National Youth Festival at BRAC University and Flow Fest at Gulshan Club, engaging with students and young professionals interested in freelancing, entrepreneurship, and skill development.
As Bangladesh’s digital economy continues to expand, Bizzmakr aims to play a growing role in preparing the next generation of professionals by promoting practical skills, career readiness, and continuous learning. Through its campus activation programmes, the platform continues to focus on transforming potential into opportunity and strengthening the country’s freelance economy.
