BRAC University hosts first-ever Alumni Reunion 2026
BRAC University hosted its first-ever Alumni Reunion 2026 at its Merul Badda campus in Dhaka on Friday, 8 May 2026, as part of celebrations marking its upcoming silver jubilee.
Graduates from all 17 convocations to date, along with their families, reconnected with faculty members and university leadership in a day-long programme of reunion and celebration.
“Each of you has been part of BRAC University’s impactful journey over the past 25 years. Your achievements, commitment, and continued connection inspire us to shine brighter and strive for even greater impact in the years ahead,” said Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury noted that BRAC University’s value lies in its people, students, teachers and staff, underlining the institution’s renewed mission and vision under the theme “Reimagining Excellence”.
The reunion featured a football match, interactive activities for children, cultural performances, a raffle draw, musical performances by Shironamhin, and a screening of this year’s Bonolota Express film.
Speakers at the event included Registrar Dr David Dowland, Professor Emeritus Ainun Nishat, BRAC Business School Dean Professor Mohammad Mujibul Haque, Associate Professor Sadia Hamid Kazi, Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, Advisor of the BRAC Institute of Languages, Student Life Head Tahsina Rahman, and a representative from the alumni community.
Faculty members from various departments and senior university officials were also present at the event.
