IUB hosts internship readiness boot camp session on career development
The Office of Career Guidance, Placement and Alumni Relations (CGP and AR) at Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) organised the second session of its Internship Readiness Boot Camp on 13 April 2026 at the university campus.
The programme began with a session titled “From Internship to Impact: Turning Your Internship into a Full-Time Opportunity”, conducted by Dilruba S Khan, Group HR Director at Akij Bashir Group. She shared practical insights on adapting to workplace expectations, making a strong first impression during the initial stages of an internship, and positioning oneself for long-term career opportunities.
This was followed by a panel discussion featuring industry professionals, including Anubhab Rahman, Chief Human Resources Officer at Nagad Limited, and Khandaker Fazle Rabbi, Senior Director of Human Resources and Administration at Data Path Ltd., alongside Dilruba S Khan. The discussion focused on building credibility, taking initiative, networking within organisations and seeking constructive feedback.
The session was also attended by IUB alumnus Manik Hossain Shimul, currently serving as Head of HR Strategy and Organisational Development Lead at Nagad Limited.
The final session, titled “Professional Communication Skills”, was conducted by Mahbubul Alam Bhuiyan, Senior Director at Grameenphone, who highlighted the importance of clear and confident communication in professional settings.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, reflecting a strong interest in developing practical skills for the workplace.
Organisers expressed appreciation to the speakers, participants and volunteers for contributing to the successful execution of the programme.
