Jahangirnagar University (JU) and Unico Hospitals on 14 September signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide healthcare and diagnostic services to the university community at reduced rates.

The agreement was signed around 3:30pm at the conference room of the university’s Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

JU Treasurer Professor Dr Md Sohel Rana and Unico Hospitals Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adra Kurien signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

Under the agreement, JU teachers, students, officers, employees and their dependents will be able to receive diagnostic and other healthcare services from Unico Hospitals at discounted prices.

JU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, Pro-VC (Academic) Prof Dr Md Shamsul Alam, Chairman of the Department of Government and Politics Prof Dr Nurul Huda Sakib, Prof Dr KM Mohiuddin, Unico Hospitals Chief of Medical Services Brigadier General (retd) Dr Md Sharif Ahmed, General Manager of Healthcare Development and Public Relations Ruby Rebecca Oreng, and Senior Manager of Corporate Relations Rezaul Karim were present at the signing ceremony.
