Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Dr ASM Amanullah said improving the quality of higher education did not depend solely on infrastructural development.
“It requires high-quality research, the creation of new knowledge and mutual collaboration. Joint efforts by BRAC University and National University will help ensure high-quality and relevant education for a large number of students,” he said.
“We want to create an educational environment through joint research, academic exchanges and innovative initiatives that will help teachers and students pursue knowledge and address emerging global challenges,” he added.
“We believe this collaboration will play an important role in improving the overall quality of the country’s education system.”
Professor Dr Syed Farhat Anwar said BRAC University had always believed in meaningful partnerships at home and internationally.
“As a higher education institution, our responsibility is not limited to creating knowledge or keeping it within classrooms. We must also take that knowledge to people and use it to empower society and communities,” he said.
“This MoU with National University is particularly significant to us, as both institutions are committed to expanding access to quality education and extending its impact.”
“By combining National University’s nationwide reach with BRAC University’s capabilities in education, research and innovation, we aim to take knowledge beyond institutional boundaries and contribute to meaningful change across the country,” he added.
Under the MoU, the two universities will collaborate on joint research, exchange educational and technological expertise, and promote academic excellence among teachers and students.
