National University has published the results of its 2024 Degree (Pass) and Certificate Course second-year examinations within 42 working days, recording a pass rate of 93.53%.

The results, released on 11 July, covered 197,615 students from 1,915 colleges who sat the examinations at 647 centres across the country.

The examinations began on 20 April 2026 and concluded on 18 May. Despite an 11-day government holiday for Eid-ul-Azha after the examinations, the university completed script evaluation, mark compilation, data verification and other administrative procedures within 42 working days, or 53 calendar days.

The university said the faster publication of results reflected a series of measures introduced by the current administration to modernise examination management, improve coordination and expand the use of information technology.

National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Amanullah said the achievement demonstrated the institution’s commitment to becoming a modern, dynamic and student-friendly higher education institution.

“The publication of accurate results within 42 working days while maintaining transparency reflects our administrative capacity and coordinated efforts,” he said.

“We will continue working to provide students with timely, technology-driven services.”

Controller of Examinations Md Enamul Karim said every post-examination stage had been completed according to a predetermined plan.

“Despite the extended Eid holiday, script evaluation, mark compilation, data verification and preparation of the results were carried out in a coordinated manner,” he said.

“This enabled us to publish accurate results within a short period. We are also exploring ways to publish results even faster in the future.”

Students welcomed the faster publication of the results, saying it would help them plan their studies and career preparations without prolonged uncertainty.

Tahmina Akter, a second-year degree student at Siddheswari College in Dhaka, said students previously had to wait a long time for their results.

“The faster publication of results has made it easier for us to prepare for the next academic year and plan our studies,” she said.

Abid Islam, a student at Rajshahi College, said he had not expected the results to be published so quickly after the extended Eid holiday.

“We have not lost valuable time this year, making it easier to move forward with our plans for higher education and job preparation,” he said.

The university said the initiative was part of its broader efforts to reduce session delays and provide timely services to its large student population.
