Pre-event workshop prepares Butex students for Career Fair
A pre-event session for the ITET-BUTEX Career Fair 2026, organised by the Career Club of Bangladesh University of Textiles, was held on Wednesday, 22 April, at 1pm.
The main objective of the session was to strengthen students’ professional skills, provide practical insights into the modern job market and create opportunities for direct interaction with industry experts.
The programme began with a workshop titled “CV Engineering for Textile Engineers”, conducted by Niaz Ahmed, founder and chief executive officer of Corporate Ask.
In the session, he discussed strategies for preparing effective and professional CVs, presenting personal skills, attracting employers and positioning oneself as a competitive candidate in the job market.
The second session, titled “The HR Perspective”, was conducted by Sayeedul Hasan, head of HR at Centro.
He spoke about recruitment processes, expected behaviour during interviews, adapting to corporate culture, communication skills and the importance of leadership qualities.
The final session, “Integrating Career, Purpose and Values for Lasting Success”, was delivered by Tareq Amin, founder and chief executive officer of Textile Today Innovation Hub.
He emphasised the importance of aligning career goals with personal values, maintaining a mindset of continuous learning, fostering innovation and working towards sustainable success.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students.
During the interactive question-and-answer session, participants exchanged ideas and received practical guidance from the speakers.
The organisers expressed hope that such initiatives would play an important role in preparing students for their careers and would continue in the future.
The ITET-BUTEX Career Fair 2026 is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 23 April, with the participation of more than 35 industrial organisations.
