Students For Liberty Bangladesh organised the first session of its Human Respect Campus Dialogue Series 2026, titled ‘Human Respect Samvad’, at Jahangirnagar University on 1 September.

Held at 11am, the session was attended by around 70 students and featured Professor Dr Nurul Huda Sakib as the speaker. The discussion focused on human respect, mutual understanding, tolerance and the importance of constructive dialogue.

The programme featured an interactive discussion, followed by a question-and-answer session and a quiz competition. The top 10 participants in the quiz were selected to receive prizes.

The session was hosted by Farzana Tayeeba, a student of the Department of Government and Politics at Jahangirnagar University.

The Human Respect Campus Dialogue Series is a three-part initiative aimed at promoting respectful dialogue, leadership, critical thinking and mutual understanding among university students. The subsequent sessions will include a Human Respect Colloquium and Human Respect Vox Pop.

Through the initiative, Students For Liberty Bangladesh seeks to create opportunities for young people to engage in meaningful discussions, develop leadership skills and promote a culture of human respect on university campuses.
