ULAB Digital Marketing Club launches Idea Hunters 5.0
The ULAB Digital Marketing Club (UDMC) has launched Betopia Group Presents Idea Hunters 5.0 – Hunting For The Next Big Idea, its flagship inter-university marketing case competition, inviting undergraduate students from universities across Bangladesh to solve real-world marketing challenges through strategy, creativity and innovation.
The competition aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice by engaging participants in a series of competitive rounds that simulate real marketing scenarios.
Participants will also attend three exclusive workshops conducted by management trainees, team leaders and experienced marketing professionals. The sessions are designed to provide industry insights, strategic frameworks and professional guidance throughout the competition.
Idea Hunters 5.0 offers a total prize pool of Tk160,000. The champion team will receive Tk80,000, while the first and second runners-up will receive Tk50,000 and Tk30,000 respectively.
The competition will begin with the opening ceremony and the first workshop on 8 August. Participants will then compete in several stages, including a marketing strategy deck submission, an online idea pitching round before industry professionals featuring a live question-and-answer session, and the grand finale.
During the final round, shortlisted teams will produce and present an online video commercial (OVC), transforming their marketing strategies into visual campaigns.
The competition is open exclusively to undergraduate students. Teams of two to four members are eligible to participate, while cross-university teams are also encouraged to promote collaboration among students from different institutions.
The registration fee has been set at Tk610 per team, with the registration deadline on 6 August.
ULAB students can register and make payments at the Idea Hunters 5.0 registration booth on campus through cash or bKash. Students from other universities can register online and complete payment through bKash.
Through Idea Hunters 5.0, the ULAB Digital Marketing Club aims to foster innovative thinking, encourage practical problem-solving and create opportunities for students to engage with industry professionals while showcasing their ideas on a national platform.
The Business Standard is the print and online media partner of the event, while TBS Graduates is the youth engagement partner.
