The remarks were made during a visit to The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka, where the state minister said the government was working to establish an integrated and accountable education system that guarantees quality education for all students. As part of this initiative, all English-medium institutions will be brought under a common regulatory framework.

“We want to build an education system where students do not simply achieve good examination results but also learn to think critically, innovate and lead,” he said, adding that equipping young people with world-class skills, values and creativity is essential for Bangladesh’s future development.

Hajjaj said the government aims to ensure that students studying in Bangla-medium, English version or English-medium institutions have equal opportunities to acquire national values, civic responsibility and internationally competitive skills.

During the visit, the state minister toured a student exhibition organised by the academy, where he reviewed research projects, innovations and creative presentations by students.

He also praised the institution’s modern teaching methods, student-centred learning approach and leadership development programmes. Calling for the wider adoption of research-driven, innovative and creative learning practices across the country, he urged other educational institutions to introduce similar initiatives.

Teachers, students and officials of the academy were present during the visit.
