JU forms advisory committee to maintain campus security
The Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have formed a six-member ‘Security Advisory Committee’ to maintain internal security and discipline on the campus.
According to an office order signed by Acting Registrar Dr A B M Azizur Rahman on October 1, Professor Dr Mostafa Nazmul Mansur of the Department of Philosophy has been appointed as the adviser to the committee.
Professor Mohammad Tarek Chowdhury of the Department of Philosophy, Professor Dr Nasrin Sultana of the Department of Government and Politics, Professor Dr Md Kamruzzaman of the Department of Zoology and Professor Dr Md Mahmudur Rahman of the Department of Public Administration have been made members of the committee.
Deputy Registrar (Higher Education and Scholarship) Md Abdur Rahman has also been appointed as a member.
The committee was formed in the interest of maintaining internal security and discipline on the university campus, the order said.
