The Army Institute of Business Administration (Army IBA), Savar, an affiliated institute of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), has released the official intake circular for its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme (18th Batch, Session: 2026–2027 A).
The entry examination is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 20 June 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a total exam duration of 120 minutes.
Eligibility criteria
For SSC/HSC or equivalent applicants:
- Candidates must hold valid Bangladeshi citizenship.
- Applicants must have completed their HSC or equivalent examinations in either 2024 or 2025.
- A minimum GPA of 3.50 is required separately in both the SSC and HSC (or equivalent) evaluations.
For O/A-level applicants:
- Candidates must have cleared at least five IGCSE/O-Level subjects (including mandatory Mathematics) and a minimum of two IAL/GCE A-Level subjects.
- A minimum of four ‘A’ grades must be secured across the seven combined subjects.
- A minimum separate average grade point of 3.5 must be maintained (calculated using the scale: A=5.0, B=4.0, C=3.5).
- Foreign curricula candidates are strictly required to obtain an official equivalence certificate via the institute’s portal prior to submitting an application.
Selection procedure
The rigorous screening process is split into two mandatory phases:
Phase 1: Written test (100 marks)
- Multiple choice questions (MCQ): Worth 75 marks with a 90-minute time limit. The assessment tests core knowledge across Mathematics (30 marks), Analytical Ability (20 marks), and Language and Communication (25 marks). A negative marking penalty of 0.25 marks applies for every incorrect answer.
- Descriptive questions: Worth 25 marks with a 30-minute time limit. This segment evaluates argumentative, descriptive, critical, and thematic composition skills.
Phase 2: Communication test (20 marks)
- A minimum of 250 top-scoring candidates from the written phase will qualify to sit for the communication assessment, which evaluates interpersonal and verbal skills.
Seat limit and final list: The final merit list for the 120 available seats is computed using the cumulative score of 120 marks gathered from both selection phases.

- Registration window: The registration lines remain active from May 1, 2026, until the final closing deadline on June 15, 2026 (at 11:59 p.m.).
- Application fee: A non-refundable fee of Tk. 1000 must be processed online through the integrated SSLCOMMERZ gateway.
- Admit card retrieval: Registered applicants can access and download their printable colour admit cards starting June 16, 2026, up until 10:00 a.m. on the day of the exam.
