The Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at Islamic University Bangladesh has officially released an admission notice for its Professional Masters programme for the 2026-2027 July-December session.

This 1.5-year (3-semester) programme offers specialisations in Clinical Biochemistry and Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics, and Biology (including Botany and Zoology).

Eligibility Requirements Candidates interested in the programme must meet specific academic criteria based on their previous qualifications:

• Standard Track (1.5 Years): Open to those with a 4-year B.Sc. (Honours) in fields such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Fisheries, or relevant biological sciences. It is also open to those with MBBS, Nursing, or equivalent medical and health technology degrees.
• Extended Track (1.5 Years + 2 Courses): Designed for B.Sc. (Pass) graduates or those with an Honours degree in non-biological subjects. This track is also applicable to students with a 3-year Honours degree in biological subjects.
