Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into the Professional MS in Psychology program (5th Batch, Session: 2024–2025) offered by the Department of Psychology, University of Dhaka.

1. ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLICATION

• Candidates holding a graduation or equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognised university/institution are eligible to apply.
• Undergraduate Degree: Minimum CGPA of 2.50 (on a 4.0 scale) in a 3-year BA/BCom/BSc or equivalent program. In the traditional division system, candidates must hold at least a Second Division/Class.
• SSC & HSC Examinations: Minimum GPA of 3.00 (on a 5.0 scale) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations.
• Candidates employed in government or non-government organisations may apply by obtaining prior permission from their respective authorities.

2. SELECTION PROCEDURE & ADMISSION TEST FORMAT

Admissions will be awarded strictly on the basis of candidates’ merit positions in the Admission Test.

• Total Marks: 100
• Pass Marks: 40% overall
• Written Test Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
• Test Structure:
  • MCQ Section: 20 multiple-choice questions (with 4 options) each in Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods and Basic Statistics, and Analytical Ability.
  • English Section: Free handwriting assessment.
  • Oral Test: Only candidates passing the written examination will be called for the oral test.

Marks Distribution:

• Introduction to Psychology: 20
• Research Methods and Basic Statistics: 20
• Analytical Ability: 20
• English: 20
• Oral Test: 20
• Total: 100 Marks

• Saturday: Morning to Evening
• Sunday: Evening
