Remaining examinations under the Chattogram Education Board, as well as Madrasah and Technical Education Boards in its jurisdiction, will continue as per the existing schedule, while postponed papers will be rescheduled later.
The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations suspended due to recent flooding under the Chattogram Education Board, the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board will resume on 27 July, according to the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
In a press release issued today (23 July), the committee said the remaining examinations would be held according to the previously announced schedule from Monday (27 July).
The committee said several exams, including HSC, Alim, HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma in Commerce, had been postponed after floods disrupted normal life in areas under the Chattogram board.
The committee said the decision to resume the examinations followed an improvement in the flood situation, based on reports submitted by deputy commissioners of all districts under the board and a request from the board’s controller of examinations.
Earlier, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon told reporters that the postponed tests would be rescheduled after the completion of the previously announced exam routine.
The suspension affected candidates in Chattogram, Rangamati, Khagrachhari, Bandarban, and Cox’s Bazar under the board.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said a revised schedule for the examinations postponed due to flooding will be announced separately at a later date.
