Facebook and Instagram are experiencing a widespread outage, with thousands of users reporting difficulties accessing the platform.

According to outage tracking website IsDown, more than 5,700 reports have been submitted over the past 24 hours.

The site said it detected active issues affecting Facebook’s services on Friday afternoon.

The disruption appears to be affecting users in several countries, with the United States and the Philippines among the countries recording the highest number of reports as well as Bangladesh.
