The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms across most parts of the country on Eid-ul-Adha, to be observed tomorrow (28 April).
According to the Met Office, many places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions, as well as some places in the Barishal and Chattogram divisions, may experience temporary gusty or squally winds accompanied by light to moderate rain or thundershowers.

Today’s weather
According to the 24-hour forecast issued from 9am today (27 May), many places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions may experience temporary gusty or squally winds along with light to moderate rain or thundershowers.
There is also a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.
The Met Office said daytime temperatures across the country may decrease by 1-2°C today, while nighttime temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged.
Temperature outlook for Eid day
The BMD said daytime temperatures across the country may remain nearly unchanged on Eid day (28 May), while nighttime temperatures could decline slightly.
According to the synoptic situation, an extension of a low-pressure area stretches from West Bengal to the northern Bay of Bengal.
As a result, rainfall activity may continue across various regions of the country.
Forecast for the following days
On Friday (29 May), many places in the Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Sylhet divisions, and some places in the Rangpur, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, may experience rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds.
Heavy rainfall is also possible in some areas, while both daytime and nighttime temperatures may rise slightly.
On Saturday (30 May), some places in the Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, and one or two places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, may experience rain or thundershowers.
Daytime temperatures may increase slightly across the country, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
On 31 May, some places in the Chattogram division and one or two places in other divisions may experience rain or thundershowers. Moderate to heavy rainfall may also occur in parts of the Chattogram division.
Both day and night temperatures may rise slightly, according to the Met Office.
In its extended five-day outlook, the Met Office said a low-pressure area may form over the east-central Bay of Bengal.
