Hult Prize, often called the ‘Nobel Prize for students,’ is set to begin its eighth edition at the University of Rajshahi.
The On-Campus Round launches on 17 January 2024, and registration will be open from 9 to 22 December 2024.
Titled ‘VRC Study Abroad Ltd presents Hult Prize On-Campus Programme 2024-25 at University of Rajshahi, powered by IFAD Group,’ the event is jointly organised by Hult Prize at University of Rajshahi and the Career Counselling Development Centre, University of Rajshahi (CCDC, RU).
Campus Director Pranta Barua explained the competition’s stages: the On-Campus Round, the Regional Summit, the Accelerator, and the Global Final. The On-Campus round involves steps such as Team Formation, Abstract Submission, Elevator Pitch, and Final Presentation. Deputy Director Azmine Tasik announced initiatives, including entrepreneurship sessions and a youth campaign promoting social entrepreneurship.
Top teams from the campus round will advance through regional and global stages, and the ultimate winner will receive $1 million to implement their idea.
The Hult Prize, run in partnership with the United Nations, involves students from over 3,000 institutions worldwide in developing scalable social enterprises that address global challenges. Dubbed the ‘Nobel Prize for Students’ by the Huffington Post, it has inspired countless changemakers globally.
