PTIB Civic Tech Challenge 2025

The PTIB Civic Tech Challenge 2025 is a nationwide innovation competition designed to inspire and empower changemakers, innovators, and tech enthusiasts to create impactful, technology-driven solutions for social good. Organized under the Partnerships for a more Tolerant, Inclusive Bangladesh (PTIB) initiative, jointly implemented by Bangladesh Computer Council of ICT Division and UNDP Bangladesh, this challenge seeks to harness civic technology to tackle pressing societal issues by enhancing public participation, transparency, and accountability.
The Challenge brings together creative minds from diverse backgrounds to design, prototype, and present tech-based solutions that improve the relationship between people and their governments, foster social cohesion, promote peace, and ensure inclusive governance. Participants will work on real-world problems, develop innovative tools, and get the opportunity to present their solutions to experts, policymakers, and investors.
What is Civic Tech?
Civic Technology (Civic Tech) refers to the use of digital tools, platforms, and innovations to empower citizens, improve public services, strengthen democratic participation, and solve societal challenges. From mobile apps and data-driven dashboards to AI-powered solutions, Civic Tech creates opportunities for meaningful, scalable impact.

Themes of PTIB Civic Tech Challenge 2025
Participants must align their projects with one of the following themes:
- Civic Tech & Public Engagement: Digital tools that enhance citizen participation, social cohesion, transparency, or access to information.
- Anti-Corruption Tech & Data: Use of data, AI, or digital tools to detect, prevent, or report corruption.
- Legal & Justice Access: Digital solutions that support legal awareness, access to justice, or system accountability.
- Local Governance & Participation: Digital platforms that strengthen community involvement in local planning and decision-making.
Who Can Participate?
- Teams from anywhere in Bangladesh.
- Students, professionals, entrepreneurs, developers, and community leaders.
Prize Pool
Winners will share a prize pool along with mentorship and support to scale their solutions. Exact prize allocations will be announced during the competition briefing.
How to Apply
- Complete this Google Form with accurate details about your team.
- Submit a brief description of your idea aligned with one of the themes.
- Provide any supporting links or materials (Prototype/Idea). Highly encouraged to submit a prototype.
- Ensure your submission is made before the deadline: 7th September 2025.
