The programme began with a welcome address by Rotaractor Sakib Hossain, Secretary General of the Rotaract Club of JKKNIU.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration expressed his appreciation for such seminars, saying, “We need more programmes like these in our university, but unfortunately, the ones that should not happen are the ones happening more often.” The Proctor and other respected faculty members also addressed the audience.
During the main session, keynote speaker Md Khalid Hossain shared his personal and professional journey at bKash. He elaborated on the company’s various business sectors, including telecom payments, business sales, payroll services, distribution and retail, government and utility bill payments, and merchant development. He also discussed common mistakes in student CVs, the importance of confidence in presenting a resume, and practical ways to develop strong speaking skills. Drawing from his experience as an interviewer, he provided insights into succeeding in viva boards and bKash’s recruitment process. He further emphasised the significance of co-curricular activities and self-presentation skills.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students asked career-related questions that the keynote speaker addressed in detail, offering guidance and motivation for their career planning.
Finally, Md Mukitul Islam, President of the Rotaract Club of JKKNIU, expressed his gratitude to all participants and officially closed the event.
