EWU and BRAC Bank’s TARA support women entrepreneurs through UDDOKTA 101
East West University (EWU), in collaboration with TARA – the pioneering women banking initiative of BRAC Bank PLC, is running the Entrepreneur Accelerator Program: UDDOKTA 101 for Women Entrepreneurs, an initiative designed to equip aspiring women entrepreneurs with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in today’s competitive business landscape.
Launched on 25 September 2025, the programme is organised by the Department of Business Administration, East West University, and aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and entrepreneurial practice. Through a blend of classroom sessions, mentorship, and hands-on training, UDDOKTA 101 is helping women entrepreneurs turn ideas into impactful ventures.
The programme offers comprehensive modules covering business planning, marketing, operations, financial literacy, and leadership development. Sessions are conducted by industry leaders, experienced professionals, and faculty experts, ensuring participants receive practical insights and mentorship tailored to real-world challenges.
Speaking about the initiative, programme coordinators emphasised that UDDOKTA 101 is more than a training course; it is a transformative experience that builds confidence, creativity, and ethical business practices. The programme focuses on nurturing women leaders who are not only capable of launching businesses but also committed to sustaining them responsibly and contributing to Bangladesh’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The collaboration between East West University and BRAC Bank’s TARA initiative reflects a shared mission to empower women through education, financial inclusion, and innovation. TARA, BRAC Bank’s flagship platform for women empowerment, continues to support female entrepreneurs by providing financial services, mentorship, and capacity-building opportunities across the country.
As the current cohort of UDDOKTA 101 continues to make strides, registration for the next batch is expected to open soon, with classes scheduled to commence early next year.
With programmes like UDDOKTA 101, East West University and BRAC Bank PLC are shaping the next generation of women entrepreneurs, driving innovation, fostering inclusion, and strengthening Bangladesh’s start-up landscape.
