Sahoshika 4.0 to honour eight women entrepreneurs on International Women’s Day
Eight outstanding women entrepreneurs will be recognised at the fourth edition of the Sahoshika 4.0 Women Entrepreneurs Award 2026, scheduled to take place on 8 March at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, marking the celebration of International Women’s Day.
The event aims to celebrate the achievements of women entrepreneurs who are driving innovation, creating employment and contributing significantly to Bangladesh’s economic growth. This year, eight entrepreneurs from diverse sectors—including agro-food, IT, skill development, social initiatives, tourism, fashion and clothing, and fitness and wellbeing—will be honoured for their contributions.
The programme will bring together business leaders, policymakers, investors, media professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs on a single platform to discuss opportunities, challenges and strategies for sustainable growth in women-led businesses.
Dr A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, Minister of Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh, is expected to attend as Chief Guest. Barrister Zaima Rahman, strategic thinker and social activist, will join as the Lead Speaker. The programme will be chaired by Md. Amzad Hossain Khan, Executive Director (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Bank and Advisor to Sahoshika.
The event will begin with a welcome session followed by the inauguration and a panel discussion titled “Behind the Business – Forwarding Strategy and Skills for Sustainable Growth.” Panelists will include Dr Shuchita Sharmin, Professor at University of Dhaka; Dr Afroza Parvin, Executive Director of Nari Unnayaon Shakti; Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq, Chief Communication Officer of United Commercial Bank PLC; and Md Shouvikur Rahman, Business Coach and Founder of ICT Care. The session will be moderated by Subah Afrin, Local President of JCI Dhaka West and Vice President of Citibank N.A..
The programme will also feature a success-sharing session by Najmun Nahar, widely known as the Bangladeshi Flag Girl and an international traveller. An open discussion on entrepreneurship will include renowned media personality Shykh Seraj, Director and Head of News at Channel i, and Rubaba Dowla, Country Managing Director of Oracle Bangladesh and Director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
The evening will conclude with the Sahoshika Women Entrepreneurs Award Ceremony, where the selected women entrepreneurs will be formally recognised for their remarkable contributions to business and society.
