Nvidia CEO calls OpenClaw ‘the next ChatGPT,’

Jensen Huang said on Tuesday that OpenClaw, a fast-growing open-source AI project, could be “the next ChatGPT,” offering a major shift in how people interact with artificial intelligence.

Unlike traditional chatbots, OpenClaw is an autonomous AI agent platform that can complete tasks, make decisions, and act with minimal user input. Huang highlighted its potential to expand individual capabilities, saying, “Every carpenter can now be an architect. Every plumber will become an architect.”

To build on OpenClaw’s momentum, Nvidia introduced NemoClaw, an enterprise-grade version that layers Nvidia’s software and security tools on the platform. This aims to make the AI agents secure, scalable, and ready for real-world use, addressing concerns about privacy, control, and safety.

According to CNBC, Huang illustrated OpenClaw’s capabilities with an example: an agent could autonomously design a kitchen, iterate on ideas, and improve its output—all with a simple prompt. Nvidia sees this as part of a broader wave where AI agents act independently while remaining safely managed for enterprise and individual users.
