Bangladesh’s Adam Chowdhury wins double bronze at WKF Youth League
Bangladesh born and London-based karate athlete Adam Chowdhury has made history by securing two bronze medals for the country at the World Karate Federation (WKF) Youth League currently underway in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Adam earned his medals in both the junior kata and 61-kg kumite categories, marking a significant achievement for Bangladesh in international karate competition. The event drew 237 competitors from 37 countries.
This success builds on Chowdhury’s previous performances, including a gold medal in cadet kumite and a bronze in cadet kata at the 11th Commonwealth Karate Championships in Durban, South Africa, in 2024.
His consistent international results are expected to inspire young karate athletes across Bangladesh and elevate the sport’s profile nationally.
