The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Stamford University Bangladesh has received accreditation from the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh for six years.

The accreditation, effective from 7 September 2025, has been described as a significant recognition of the programme’s alignment with international academic standards, according to a press release.

The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh is a signatory to the globally recognised Washington Accord and plays an important role in benchmarking engineering education.

With this accreditation, Stamford University’s EEE programme has gained wider academic and professional acceptance, which may help graduates pursue higher education and career opportunities at home and abroad.

University authorities said the achievement reflects the collective efforts of faculty members, students and administrative staff.

They said the recognition also underlines the university’s commitment to continuous academic improvement, innovation and outcome-based education.

Stakeholders said the accreditation would further strengthen the department’s research capacity, enhance industry engagement and create opportunities for greater international collaboration in the coming years.
