The Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) – Silk Road Programme, hosted by Central South University (CSU), is now open for the 2026 intake. This is a fully funded opportunity designed for high-achieving students from selected countries, including Bangladesh, to pursue advanced research in China.
Scholarship Coverage and Benefits
This programme is designed to eliminate financial barriers for international researchers. Successful candidates will receive:

Eligibility Criteria
To ensure a successful application, candidates must meet the following baseline requirements:
- Nationality: Open to citizens of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Yemen, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Tanzania, and Russia.
- Age Limits: Master’s applicants must be under 35; PhD applicants must be under 40.
- Academic Record: Applicants must demonstrate “Excellent” academic standing with strong research potential.
- Health & Conduct: Must be in good health (Foreigner Physical Examination Form required) and have a clean criminal record.
- Exclusivity: Candidates must not hold any other simultaneous scholarships from the Chinese government or other organisations.

The application requires a dual-track submission. Missing either step will result in immediate disqualification.
Step 1: CSU Online System (The Gatekeeper)
- Register at https://csu.17gz.org/.
- Select “Chinese Government Scholarship”.
- Upload all required documents, including a Mandatory Acceptance Letter from a CSU supervisor.
- Monitor your email for “Primary Review” approval.
Step 2: CSC Online System (The Official Record)
- Log in to http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/.
- Select Program Category: Type B.
- Enter Agency Number: 10533 (Central South University).
- Complete the profile and print the generated CSC Application Form.
