BUFT signs MoUs with industry partners to strengthen academia-industry collaboration
BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Mojumder Group, Grameen Health Limited (Shukhee), E-Zone HRM Limited, and Oeti Bangladesh at a ceremony held at the Board of Trustees Conference Room of BUFT on 17 May 2026.
The agreements aim to strengthen academia-industry collaboration through enhanced industry engagement, student internships, career placement opportunities, healthcare support services, professional training, research collaboration, skill development, and capacity-building initiatives.
The MoUs were signed by Syed Mohd Sajjad, Managing Director of Mojumder Group; Dr Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, CEO of Grameen Health Limited (Shukhee); Mominul Ahsan, Managing Director of E-Zone HRM Limited; and Mohiuddin Sheek on behalf of Oeti Bangladesh. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, signed the agreements on behalf of BUFT.
The ceremony was attended by Board of Trustees Member Mohammed Nasir, Vice Chancellor (Designate) Professor Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, along with deans, department heads, senior university officials, faculty members, and Malick Shamim Akhtar, Senior Coordinator of the Career Development Center (CDC) and coordinator of the MoU programme.
Speakers at the event emphasized the growing importance of academia-industry partnerships in improving employability, fostering innovation, and supporting sustainable development. Representatives from the partner organisations also expressed their commitment to creating impactful opportunities for students and professionals through collaborative initiatives.
