A team from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) has made history by becoming the first Bangladeshi team to secure the 2nd Runner-Up position at the prestigious HSBC/HKU Business Case Challenge in Hong Kong.

Representing Bangladesh at the international finale, Team BUP competed against leading university teams from Australia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, ultimately earning a place on the podium in one of Asia’s most renowned business case competitions.

The team comprised Ridwan Sakib Adnan, Shakhawat Salim, Faiyad Hossain Sowad, and Naveed Abrar. Known locally as Team Six Seven, the four students qualified for the global competition after emerging as national champions in the Business Case Competition 2026, supported by hsbc.com.bd
