Google offers students free Gemini Pro and 400GB storage: Here’s how to claim it
Google is offering university students in Bangladesh free access to its Gemini Pro plan along with 400GB of cloud storage as part of its global “Back to School” programme.
The offer, launched globally on 21 August, includes a 12-month subscription to Google Gemini, higher usage limits and 400GB of cloud storage. Students can also get discounts of up to 70% on Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium subscriptions.
Who is eligible?
The offer is available to university students in Bangladesh aged 18 or above.
Students must have a personal Gmail account and provide proof of enrolment at a recognised university. A valid university student ID or recent semester fee payment slip can be used for verification.
How to claim the offer
Students can follow these steps:
- Sign in to their personal Gmail account through a web browser.
- Visit Google’s “Google One Student” page.
- Click on “Get Student Offer”.
- Select Bangladesh and enter their name and university.
- Upload a photo of their student ID or latest semester fee payment slip.
- Submit the documents for verification.
Google will review the information and, if approved, confirm the student’s eligibility.
Students will also need to add a payment method to activate the offer. A dual-currency debit or credit card with international payments enabled can be used.
Although the subscription is free during the 12-month offer period, Google requires a payment method to be added. No payment will be charged during the free period.
What does Gemini Pro offer?
Google’s Gemini Pro provides access to higher usage limits and advanced AI features. Students can use it for tasks including coding, data analysis, mathematical problem-solving and explaining complex topics.
It can also assist with creating assignments, reports, presentations, quizzes and other academic content.
The 400GB storage can be used across Google services, giving students additional space for files, photos and other academic materials.
