Six projects developed by Daffodil AI, a joint innovation initiative of Daffodil Group and Daffodil International University (DIU), have been selected among the top 50 innovations at the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026.

The projects use artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), robotics and automation to address challenges in disaster management, healthcare, road infrastructure and smart automation, according to a press release.

Organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the three-day fair brings together scientific and technological projects from across Bangladesh.

The six selected projects are “Dual-Mode FR Vehicle”, a rapid firefighting and rescue vehicle; “HOMEPITAL NEXUS”, a healthcare technology initiative; “PikoBot”, a desktop companion robot; “Pav Analytics”, an AI-powered road damage detection system; “IoT Smart Automation”; and “The Arbour voice for mothers”, a maternal healthcare technology initiative.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the fair and subsequently visited the Daffodil stall, where he was briefed on the technologies and research projects on display.

Daffodil Group Chairman and DIU Board of Trustees Chairman Dr Md Sabur Khan and Daffodil Group Chief Executive Officer Dr Md Nuruzzaman were present during the visit. DIU faculty members, researchers, students, and officials, along with senior officials from government agencies, also attended.

Alongside the six selected projects, Daffodil AI is demonstrating AI applications in education and institutional management through AI Professor, Student360, Alumni360, Perfect HR, LeadershipOS, and RegistrarOS.

These platforms showcase how AI can support education management, decision-making, institutional accountability, workforce development and human resource management.

The pavilion also features robotics, IoT, computer vision, automation and integrated software and hardware technologies, highlighting potential applications across education, institutions and industry.

Daffodil AI said another 40 to 50 projects involving AI, robotics, automation and other technologies were at different stages of development. These aim to expand technology use in education, industry, healthcare, infrastructure and institutional management.

“Young people must come forward to address the real challenges of our country through technology and innovation. Daffodil AI’s participation in the Bangladesh Innovation Fair and the recognition of our innovative projects are important achievements for our research and innovation initiatives,” said Dr Md Sabur Khan.

Daffodil AI works with organisations within Daffodil Group and DIU to advance research and innovation. It combines technology infrastructure, software development, research, student innovation and skills development to turn ideas into practical technology solutions.

The fair offers students, researchers, entrepreneurs, industry representatives and visitors opportunities to explore emerging technologies and their potential applications.
