BRACU Duburi leaves for US to compete in RoboSub 2026
Bangladesh’s first autonomous underwater vehicle team, BRACU Duburi, has departed for the United States to participate in RoboSub 2026, the international autonomous underwater robotics competition organised by RoboNation.
The team will represent Bangladesh on the global stage after finishing as world runner-up at RoboSub 2023, where it also won the Ingenuity Award. In 2025, it achieved a top-eight global ranking and received the Best Entrepreneurship Award.
This year, both autonomous underwater vehicles from BRACU Duburi have directly qualified for the RoboSub 2026 semi-finals, marking another milestone for Bangladesh’s underwater robotics journey, according to the team.
As BRACU Duburi begins its RoboSub 2026 campaign, the team said it remains committed to advancing underwater robotics, strengthening Bangladesh’s position in marine technology, and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
