For a Bachelor of Maritime Science degree in the relevant discipline, a cadet in each case must finish a four-year programme (two years in academy, one year at sea and one year in academy)

Admission Criteria

  • Age: Maximum 21 years on 31-12-2021 (Male/Female); Affidavit not accepted
  • Educational qualification: SSC & HSC (science) passed with minimum GPA 3.5 in both. Minimum GPA 3.5 in both physics and mathematics in HSC. Minimum GPA 3.0 in English in HSC or IELTS score 5.5
  • For English-medium students: English medium (O & A level) students may also apply as directed in the “Advertisement”
  • Height: Male > 5’4” & Female > 5’2”
  • Weight: According to WHO certified BMI chart; min BMI-17 to max BMI-27
  • Eye-sight: Nautical – 6/6, Engineering – 6/18 (must be 6/6 with spectacles); Normal colour-vision.
  • Physical fitness: Good physique & health
  • Swimming: A must
  • Marital status: Unmarried
  • Nationality: Bangladeshi/Foreign
