International Standard University has introduced a Bachelor of Science in Engineering programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, aiming to prepare skilled professionals for the rapidly evolving technology sector.

The programme received formal approval from the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh on 24 June 2026 and will be offered under the Faculty of Advanced Science and Computing.

According to the university, International Standard University has focused on providing quality, affordable and career-oriented higher education since its inception.

The newly approved programme aims to produce competent engineers with expertise in artificial intelligence and data science, enabling graduates to meet growing demand in domestic and global technology industries while creating greater opportunities for higher studies and research.

The 152-credit undergraduate programme offers a comprehensive curriculum covering artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, robotics, cybersecurity and other emerging technologies.

Students will also have access to research opportunities, modern laboratory facilities and industry-oriented projects designed to strengthen practical skills alongside academic knowledge.

To promote academic excellence and wider access to higher education, the university has introduced merit-based tuition waivers for eligible students.

International Standard University currently offers academic programmes through five faculties and eight departments.

These include Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration under the Faculty of Business Studies; Computer Science and Engineering, Textile Engineering, and Apparel Merchandising and Management under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology; Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English, Master of Arts in English Literature and Cultural Studies, and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The university also offers a Master of Public Health programme.
