IUB First Aid Rover Scout

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organised a first aid training programme for members of the IUB Rover Scout Group and university officials in collaboration with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.

Held at the university’s Multipurpose Hall, the training was organised by the School of Pharmacy and Public Health in collaboration with the Facilities and Protocol Department.

A total of 19 Rover Scouts and six university officials took part in the programme.

Participants received hands-on training in essential emergency response skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding control, burn and fracture management, choking response and basic first aid techniques. The training aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to provide immediate assistance before professional medical help becomes available.

According to the organisers, the initiative was designed to strengthen emergency preparedness on campus and encourage a culture of safety, responsibility and community service among students and staff.
