Jahangirnagar University (JU) Bondhushava is organising the fourth edition of its career development initiative, Learning Lab 4.0, to help students prepare for corporate careers through practical guidance from industry professionals.

The initiative will bring together JU alumni working at Unilever Bangladesh, Syngenta Bangladesh Limited and Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited to share their professional experiences and offer career guidance to students.

Scheduled for October 24, 26 and 27, the three-session programme will cover corporate career opportunities, CV writing, LinkedIn profile development and digital skills relevant to the job market.

The first session, titled From Campus to Corporate: Your MNC Career Roadmap, will feature Najmus Sakib, Territory Manager at Unilever Bangladesh. He will discuss corporate recruitment processes, campus ambassador opportunities and the responsibilities of a territory manager at a multinational company.

The second session, Get Hired: CV Building & LinkedIn for Career Growth, will be led by Tasnia Kabir Proma, HR Business Partner at Syngenta Bangladesh Limited. She will share guidance on presenting academic achievements, extracurricular activities and skills effectively in CVs, as well as developing professional LinkedIn profiles.

The final session, Work Smarter: AI, Excel & Digital Tools for Career Success, will feature Nazim Mohammad, HR Specialist at Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited. The session will focus on the practical use of artificial intelligence and digital tools, including Microsoft Excel, Excel competitions and free certification opportunities.

The initiative primarily targets first-, second- and third-year university students, encouraging them to begin preparing for their careers before graduation. Students from other academic years and universities across Bangladesh are also welcome to participate.

Through Learning Lab 4.0, JU Bondhushava aims to make career guidance more accessible by connecting students with alumni working in the corporate sector. The initiative seeks to help students understand employers’ expectations, develop relevant skills and explore professional opportunities early in their academic journeys.
