NSUCEC Cybernauts 2026 hosts esports and robotics competitions on fifth day
The fifth day of NSUCEC Cybernauts 2026 brought together esports and robotics enthusiasts as the festival hosted a Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Tournament and a Robo Soccer Competition at North South University.
The events attracted a large number of students, technology enthusiasts, and invited guests, further enhancing the festival’s reputation as a leading technology-focused university event.
The programme was attended by Professor Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of North South University, who visited the venue, interacted with participants, and observed the competitions. He praised the efforts of the North South University Computer & Engineering Club (NSUCEC) for creating a platform that promotes innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence among students.
The CS2 Tournament featured a series of competitive knockout matches, with teams demonstrating tactical gameplay, teamwork, communication, and strategic decision-making. The event received additional attention with the participation of Nafis Rafsan, whose presence contributed to the excitement and engagement throughout the competition.
Alongside the esports tournament, the Robo Soccer Competition highlighted students’ engineering and programming skills as teams showcased robots designed and built to compete in football-style matches. The contest provided participants with an opportunity to apply concepts from robotics, embedded systems, and engineering in a practical and competitive environment.
Organisers said the combination of esports, robotics, university leadership, and notable personalities made the fifth day one of the festival’s most engaging highlights. The competitions reflected the event’s broader mission of fostering technical excellence while creating opportunities for students to connect with leaders from academia, industry, and the digital entertainment sector.
Organised by the North South University Computer & Engineering Club, NSUCEC Cybernauts 2026 continues to bring together students from across Bangladesh through a diverse range of competitions and activities celebrating technology, innovation, and creativity.
