Shukhee has launched a free round-the-clock mental health counselling service for North South University (NSU) students, faculty members and staff.

The digital healthcare platform, operated by Grameen HealthTech Limited, introduced the service in partnership with the NSU Counselling and Wellbeing Centre, according to a press release.

Members of the NSU community can access the service using their university-registered mobile numbers.

Through Shukhee’s Instant Psychologist service, users will be able to connect virtually with qualified counsellors and psychologists at any time of the day or night.

The initiative will integrate Shukhee’s Virtual Mental Wellness Support with the university centre’s existing mental health support system.

It is intended to expand access to professional mental healthcare for NSU students, faculty members and staff.

Users can book a 30–45-minute counselling session at a convenient time free of charge.

The service will provide support for mental and emotional challenges, including stress, anxiety, loneliness, relationship issues, and academic or workplace pressure.

Shukhee said every session would be confidential, with conversations remaining strictly between the user and the counsellor.

“Seeking support for your mental health should never come with fear of judgement or concerns about privacy,” said Grameen HealthTech Limited Chief Executive Officer Dr Armaan Ahmed Siddiqui.

“At Shukhee, we believe every conversation deserves compassion, confidentiality and respect,” he added.

“This service is designed to make professional support easy to reach and completely confidential, so that no student ever has to face a difficult moment alone,” said NSU Vice Chancellor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury.
