The Intra IUB 3-A-Side IRAM Memorial Futsal Tournament Summer ’26 concluded with a prize-giving ceremony at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), recognising the outstanding performances of participating teams throughout the competition.

Team Portugal emerged as the men’s champions, while Team Germany finished as the runners-up after an exciting tournament that showcased teamwork, skill and sportsmanship.

The prizes were presented by IUB Vice-Chancellor Professor M. Tamim, Head of the Directorate of Student Affairs (DOSA) Atif M. Safi, Director of the Council Affairs Office Ashraful Amin, and Tanvir Ahmed Haroon of the Department of Environmental Science and Management.

Speaking at the ceremony, the guests congratulated the participating teams for their commitment, discipline and competitive spirit, highlighting the importance of sports in promoting teamwork, leadership and student engagement.

The organisers said the tournament provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their footballing talent while strengthening camaraderie and fostering a vibrant campus culture.
