Ulab PR4U hosts workshop on voice and communication in public relations
PR4U, an apprenticeship programme of the Department of Media Studies and Journalism at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (Ulab), organised a workshop titled “Speak to Influence: The Power of Voice in PR” on 11 April 2026.
The workshop, themed “Beyond the Mic: Mastering the PR Voice”, focused on the strategic role of vocal presence in public relations. The session explored how tone, clarity, confidence and vocal delivery can serve as effective tools for audience engagement and communication.
The session was facilitated by Junayed Mufrad Maushum, a development professional and human rights activist, and a former debater of the Dhaka University Debate Society.
Participants were introduced to practical aspects of persuasive communication, audience engagement and the evolving expectations of PR professionals. Through interactive discussions and exercises, they explored how effective voice delivery can contribute to personal branding, leadership presence and professional development.
The workshop also included activities on voice modulation, storytelling techniques and confidence-building, aimed at strengthening communication skills among participants.
Organisers said the session encouraged students to develop confidence in public speaking and enhance their effectiveness in professional communication settings.
