Applications are open for the 2027 internship programme of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which offers opportunities for students and recent graduates in different countries.

The programme provides a stipend to help cover basic living costs and local transportation, as well as reimbursement for return travel costs for eligible interns who do not receive support from other organisations. UNHCR also assists with visa documentation, although interns must pay their own visa fees.

Internships last two to six months, with a minimum duration of two months.

Applicants from all countries can apply if they are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme at a university accredited by UNESCO, or graduated within the past two years.

Applicants must indicate their areas of interest in their cover letter or letter of interest. The work assigned will be related to their educational background and interests.

IELTS or other language test results are not required.
