The Institute of Information Technology (IIT) at Jahangirnagar University has announced the admission schedule for the Professional Master in Information Technology (PMIT) programme for the 2025-2026 session.

This industry-focused postgraduate programme is designed to provide students with advanced skills in software engineering, data science, and information technology.

Programme Overview

• Duration: 3 Trimesters (1 Year)
• Credit Hours: 36 (30 Theory + 6 Project)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess at least a CGPA of 2.5 (on a scale of 4) or a 2nd class equivalent.

• Category A (Direct Entry): 4-year Bachelor degree (or 3-year Honours + 1-year Masters) in CS, CE, CSE, ECS, CIT, ICT, IT, or Software Engineering.
• Category B (Science Graduates): 4-year B.Sc in EEE/ECE/ETE (or 3-year Honours/Pass + 1-year Masters) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Geological Sciences, or Environmental Sciences. Candidates must have completed at least two of the following subjects: Programming Environment, Data Structures & Algorithm, Operating System, Discrete Math & Numerical Analysis, Database Management, Web Technology, OOP (Python), or Computer Networks.
• Category C (With PGD): 4-year other Engineering/Honours degree OR 3-year Honours/Pass + 1-year Masters in any subject, plus a 1-year PGD in a CS/IT-related field.
