wahid brothers

Bangladesh football could be on the verge of a historic moment after BFF vice-president Fahad Karim announced that Farhaan Ali Wahid and Rayaan Ali Wahid are set to join the national football project.

In a post from his verified Facebook page, Fahad Karim said the “Wahid brothers” would soon wear the red and green jersey, sparking excitement among football fans across the country.

Among the two, Farhaan Ali Wahid has already built a strong reputation in English football. The 19-year-old winger began his football journey at the academy of Chelsea F.C. before joining Fulham F.C. in 2019. Since then, he has progressed steadily through Fulham’s youth ranks and currently plays for the club’s Under-21 side.

Born in England to Bangladeshi parents, Farhaan previously represented England national under-15 football team at Under-15 level but remains eligible to play for Bangladesh national football team internationally.

His rise at Fulham has been impressive. After overcoming injury setbacks, the left winger returned strongly with goals and assists at youth level, eventually earning a professional contract with the Premier League club in 2025.

Farhaan also enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with Fulham Under-21s, where his performances in Premier League 2 earned praise and individual recognition.

The inclusion of the Wahid brothers reflects BFF’s growing focus on recruiting overseas-based Bangladeshi talents following the success of players like Jamal Bhuyan and Hamza Choudhury.

Fans now hope the arrival of the Wahid brothers could mark the beginning of a new era for Bangladesh football.
