Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will celebrate International Dance Day with a two-day programme.

With support from the Cultural Affairs Ministry, the event is open to all.

The inaugurating ceremony was held at the National Theatre Hall auditorium on Tuesday at 5 pm, with State Minister for Cultural Affairs Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyum expected attending as the chief guest.

Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury is expected to attend the closing session of the event as the chief guest on 29 April while adviser to the Prime Minister on Information, Broadcasting and Cultural Affairs Dr Jahed Ur Rahman will be present as the special guest at the opening ceremony today.
