The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award at Independent University, Bangladesh (DEA IUB) organised its Adventurous Journey Autumn 2026 from 16 to 18 September at Foy’s Lake Basecamp in Chattogram.

The three-day journey brought together awardees for activities focused on adventure, teamwork, leadership, communication and personal development, according to a press release.

Through various challenges, participants stepped outside their comfort zones, strengthened their ability to work as a team and developed practical skills while engaging in an outdoor environment.

The journey was conducted by the DEA IUB Executive Board under the guidance and support of Coordinator Saiful Kabir. Tanjim Ahammed Adnan, president of DEA IUB, led the event.

Bangladesh Zindabad was named Best Team, while Sonar Bangla was named Runner-up Team. Swapnil Sarkar was recognised as Best Camper for his performance throughout the journey.

The organisers said the Adventurous Journey provided participants with an opportunity to learn, explore, collaborate and challenge themselves while strengthening leadership, resilience, teamwork and personal development.
