A teaser for ‘Lords of War’, the sequel to the 2005 crime thriller ‘Lord of War’, has been released, featuring Nicolas Cage and Bill Skarsgård as father and son.
The film, directed and written by Andrew Niccol, is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 22, 2027.
Cage reprises his role as Yuri Orlov, an international arms dealer, while Skarsgård joins the cast as Anton, his previously unknown son. The story follows Anton, a ruthless mercenary mastermind who seeks to surpass his father by building a private army and exploiting conflicts in the Middle East.
Their discovery of each other’s existence sparks a fierce rivalry driven by power, ambition and betrayal, with the global arms trade at stake.
Cage is the only returning cast member from the original film, which also featured Jared Leto, Ethan Hawke and Bridget Moynahan.
The sequel also stars Laura Harrier, Sylvia Hoeks and Greg Tarzan Davis. Niccol directed both films.
