Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-time partner, model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez, in a civil ceremony in the Portuguese coastal town of Cascais, near Lisbon, according to information provided about the event.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday, 11 August, with the couple’s five children in attendance. Portuguese media described the event as the “wedding of the year”, says the BBC.

A decade together
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together for 10 years. They first met at a Gucci shop in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working while Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.
The couple announced their engagement on 11 August 2023, exactly one year before their wedding.
The marriage formalises a relationship that has been a regular feature of Ronaldo’s public life, with Rodríguez frequently accompanying the footballer and sharing family moments on social media.
